My artwork is a holistic expression of caring for life and the world we live in. I intend to give value and respect to the content of my work- whether it is the natural landscape or animals. There is often overlap with the landscape, animals and our human species. I am interested in where these subjects coincide and differ. The landscape is a constant source of inspiration- it is a universally connected reflection of our own consciousness that helps to better explain our own dysfunctions and complexities that create our human condition yet yield beauty.

In my latest work I am exploring our relationship to animals; how we view, treat and value them. I am depicting deceased animals with illustration that is accented by decorative embroidery. It is a way to pay homage to animals that have lost their lives through natural and unnatural causes. In their final imagery they are adorned and tended to with the act of embroidery.
